Summer 2011 Riding Programs
The beginner program is for students who have never ridden before or who have had minimal contact with horses through students who are able to walk and trot independently.
Focus will be on basics of position, safety, pole-work, and canter work.
This program is offered several times throughout the summer for 2 or 3 times throughout a week.
Riders will have one lesson per day, and will spend their other time doing horse-themed crafts and activities as well as learning horse and barn care.
The program runs from 10am - 2pm each day and students should bring a bag lunch.

The jumping program is for students who are cantering and who are jumping or want to work on learning to jump.
This program is offered a few times throughout the summer.
Focus is on jumping single fences as well as courses at the trot and the canter.
Different styles will be practiced, such as jumper style courses, hunter style courses, as well as equitation style courses.
Riders will be riding for 90 minutes per day, and will spend the rest of their time doing horse and barn related activities.
The program runs from 10am - 1pm each day in the two-day week and students should bring a bag lunch.

The gymkhana program is for non-beginner students interested in learning gymkhana events and games.
Focus is on learning games and events while still keeping in mind safety and position.
The program is a three day week on the dates listed below.
On the Saturday following each week, there may be the option of competing in a local gymkhana show.
The show is an extra cost not included in the program.
This program is from 10am - 1pm each day and students should bring a bag lunch.

Pony Club Program
This program is for Pony Club members only.
Each program is a five day week.
Focus will be on learning barn and horse care aligned with the Pony Club badge program, as well as riding instruction daily.
Focus in lessons will be based on the level of the riders, but all levels will include safety, fun, and new techniques in the horse world.
This program runs from 10am - 2pm each day and students should bring their own bag lunch.
