Cobble Hill Farm
Cobble Hill Farm, LLC is owned and operated by Chuck Hunt on Henderson Road in Williamstown, Massachusetts. Chuck's family has owned property on the hill and farmed it for generations. In Chuck's childhood, the farm operated as a dairy farm. Later, his aunt, Alice Godfrey, and uncle, James Godfrey, established Godfrey Stables which bred and raced standardbred horses.
Today, the barns and property have been transformed into a state-of-the-art horse boarding and horseback riding instruction facility. With 25 acres of land and unrivaled views of the Taconic Range and nestled at the base of Pine Cobble, the modern facilities include a riding ring, an outdoor ring and modern stalls and support facilities.
Horseback riding instruction is provided to children and adults by Massachusetts licensed and insured instructors. Our philosophy - shared by our instructors -- fits perfectly with Chuck's vision for the farm: to instill confidence in young people and a love and appreciation for horses. See a list of the services offered in the menu to the left.
The horses used in the riding school are well-cared for and appropriate for several levels of riders. Cobble Hill Farm is also the home of Chuck's family - his wife, Jane, and their three daughters, Elizabeth, Lauren and Sarah.
